  • Informit Health Collection

This new full text online resource will deliver instant, cover-to-cover access to core allied health content from the Australasian region. Many of the peer reviewed titles it includes are uniquely available through Informit, offering new perspectives of benefit to allied health professionals and students. Importantly, Informit Health Collection will provide access to evidence-based research and case studies of practical support to practitioners and students in therapeutic, diagnostic and preventative health roles. Subjects covered include alternative medicine, biotechnology, children's health, continence and urology, counselling, epidemiology, geriatric health, indigenous health, nursing, rehabilitation and rural health.

Access is available here until Dec. 31, 2009.

  • Springer Protocols
SpringerProtocols claims to be the largest subscription-based database of laboratory protocols in the life and biomedical sciences. Protocols are based on Humana’s "Methods in.." and "Laboratory Handbooks". Written by experts in the field, they provide tested, easily reproducible, step-by-step protocols for immediate use in the lab.

Access available from here until Nov. 21, 2009.

  • Times Literary Supplement Historical Archive

The TLS Historical Archive contains every page of every copy of the TLS published from 1902 to 2005. This fully-searchable resource allows users to track the views of influential opinion makers, the response of their peers, the controversies of the day and how critical opinion developed during the 20th century.

Access is available from here until Nov. 20, 2009.

  • BioOne
BioOne is currently home to 154 publications from 113 publishers. These titles focus on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences and are produced by societies and non-commercial publishers. For its users—students, researchers, and unaffiliated individuals—BioOne provides a unique aggregation of high-impact bioscience research journals, featuring timely content on a wide-array of today’s most pressing topics, including global warming, stem cell research, ecological and biodiversity conservation.

Comprehensive title list available from http://www.bioone.org/page/about/content/titles.

Access available from here until Nov. 19, 2009 (extended until the end of 2009). Titles are browseable by title, publisher and the BioOne collection they belong to. Please note we have access to all collections.

  • SpringerImages

SpringerImages is a growing collection of images that spans the scientific, technical and medical fields. Material is drawn mostly from Springer journals but also includes clinical images from Images.MD. The collection – currently over 1.5 million images – includes photos, graphs, histograms, figures, and table via a searchable online database linking, where possible, from the image to the source article. SpringerImages users search the caption of the images but also text from articles which refer to the image.

Access available from here until Oct. 31, 2009.
