South Australia Illustrated Gift Cards

The Friends of the University of Adelaide Library and the University of Adelaide's Art & Heritage Collections have produced an elegantly presented folio of eight gift cards, two each of four illustrations from George French Angus' South Australia Illustrated.

Proceeds from the sale of the Gift Cards will be used to promote and support the cultural collections of the University.

The cost of a set of eight cards is $20.00 GST inclusive.

Cards may be purchased at the Barr Smith Library Services Enquiries desk on Level 3 South, or you can use the order form on the Library website.

George French Angas was the eldest son of George Fife Angas, one of the men behind the establishment of the new colony of South Australia. He painted some of the earliest views of South Australia, and in 1847 oversaw the printing in London of the magnificent folio South Australia Illustrated, which has served ever since as a glowing snapshot of South Australia in 1844.
