Photocopying and printing in the Library

In 2013 the library is introducing a new print and copy payment system which will be integrated with the student quota system.

Printing

Your University funded printing quota can be used in the Barr Smith Library from the following student computer suites to printers in those areas:

  • level 3 north 24 hour computer suite
  • level 2 north
  • level 1 north (black-and-white & colour printing)

Note: a Quick Print kiosk is available next to the level 1 north computer suite.

The Law Library computer suite printer also uses the print quota.

Copying

Scanning to USB is available on all library copiers.

Cost of photocopying and Copy Card printing

For each copy you make, the appropriate amount of credit will be automatically deducted from your copying account:

Photocopying and Copy Card printing costs
A4 black-and-white photocopy: 11 cents
A3 black-and-white photocopy: 15 cents
Level 3 north printer (A4 only): black-and-white 11 cents; colour 50 cents
Colour photocopies (A4 or A3): 50 cents

To add money to an existing account or to use a non student quota device to print or copy please see Service Enquiries.

Note: The Libraries do not provide a change service.

Specialised copying services

The Image & Copy Centre provides specialised and high volume print and copy services.  It is open from 9.30am to 4pm on weekdays, Level 1, Hughes Building. Phone: 8313 4690 or email icc@adelaide.edu.au

The Library also has a scanning service for Special Collections material only.

Copyright

Photocopiers and printers in the Library must be used strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Act. In every case the onus is on the user to ensure that copying does not breach the Act -- any infringement is entirely the responsibility of the user. See the University's Copyright web site for more information.
