Quadratic Graphs

Graphs are used to display or model the relationships between real life variables when analysing experimental data.

Linear graphs are used when there is a clear straight line relationship and when it is sufficient to determine the 'general trend', but when the relationship is a curve a quadratic graph may be more accurate.

Quadratic Graphs are commonly called parabolas. The cross sections of microwave transmitters and receivers are parabolic in shape. This section examines the important features of parabolas.
