Revision of first-year statistics concepts

The following seminar was given to a group of international students in Semester 1 2012 in order to help them revise the concepts that would be in a first-year statistics course. This may help students in IEII to prepare for their course.

I would also recommend looking at the book "Intro Stats" by De Veaux, Vellemann and Bock. There are various versions of it in the Barr-Smith Library, all of which are very useful. Of particular importance are those sections on linear regression and inference.
