MLC Seminars & Workshops
The Maths Learning Centre provide informative seminars and workshops to help students encountering maths and stats at the University of Adelaide.
2013 Seminar Series
The maths learning seminars are scheduled for 12noon Fridays, Flentje Lecture Theatre. The following topics are confirmed, but we may choose to do more in weeks 6-10:
- Help for learning and using maths and stats (O'Week)
- Maths in lectures: understanding the notation (Week 1 -- 8th Mar)
- Maths in assignments: answering the questions (Week 2 -- 15th Mar)
- Maths in assignments: writing solutions and proofs (Week 3 -- 22nd Mar)
- NO SEMINAR IN WEEK 4, due to Good Friday public holiday
- Maths in lectures: understanding the concepts (Week 5 -- 5 Apr)
- Maths in exams: doing an exam well (Week 12 -- 7 Jun)

2012 Statistics Seminars
Fridays 11am Flentje Lecture Theatre. WEEKS 1-8 of Semester 2, 2012.
These seminar/workshops are designed for undergraduate students, postgraduate students and staff facing statistics in their research. They will help you learn the right questions to ask about your statistics in order to choose the right stats and understand other people's.
