Tissue Culture

Modern tissue/cell culture facilities are provided from a central support area on the 3rd floor of the Molecular Life Science building. Dedicated staff maintain the equipment and laboratory facilities. A localised store supplies tissue culture plastic ware. All liquid culture media, Foetal Calf Serum (FCS) stocks and other solutions are prepared under quality controlled conditions.

The unit maintains Departmental cell culture stocks. Mycoplasma testing facilities are also available.
