Schedule of activities for visiting scholars

 (Note: You are free to stay longer in Adelaide at your own expense. If you want to do this, make sure you tell us when we communicate with you to book your flights.)

Wednesday 22 July

A late afternoon get-together of all Visiting Scholars who arrive in time. Meet your "buddies" (current Ph.D. students that will be there to give helpful advice etc. during your stay) and then we all go out for dinner! The School of Molecular and Biomedical Science is very close to central Adelaide and the restaurants of Rundle Street.

Thursday 23 July

In the morning there will be information sessions on how Ph.D. study in Adelaide is organised, where you can find accommodation, scholarships, the School of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences, how to apply for admission etc.

After lunch we will do some touring - into the beautiful Adelaide Hills for some wine tasting. Buy a bottle for dinner at a BYO restaurant later that evening.

Friday 24 July

Attend the SMBS Postgraduate Research Symposium and visit potential research supervisors. After the Symposium all the School's Ph.D. students (and visiting scholars) are invited to a function (organised by the students themselves).

Saturday 25 July

If you don't have to fly out too early you are welcome to come on a morning walk through Adelaide's beautiful Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Zoo.
