RCDN Acheivement Award
In 2009 the Research Career Development Network (RCDN) Achievement award will be presented at the School dinner following the Symposium on Thursday 10th December. This is a cash prize of $500 with the aim of recognizing and rewarding early and mid career researchers within the School, primarily for their academic achievements over a 12 month period but also for their contribution to the School and/or Community in ways that have helped in developing their individual research careers. Candidates nominate by forwarding a one page summary of their achievements for 2009 to Lorraine Mackenzie (Lorraine.Mackenzie@adelaide.edu.au). This must include details of what stage the applicant is at in developing their research career. Closing date for applications is COB Friday November 20th, 2009. Late applications will not be accepted.
The AwardThe Research Career Development Network (RCDN) Achievement award in the School of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences is a cash prize of $500. AimThe aim of this award is to recognize and reward early and mid career researchers within the School. Primarily for their academic achievements over a 12 month period but also for their contribution to the School and/or Community in ways that have helped in developing their individual research careers. CriteriaApplicants will be judged primarily on their academic achievements over the 12 month period since the previous School Symposium. This includes all publications, peer reviewed funding, invitations to give seminars and any other awards that recognize their standing in the scientific community both at a national and international level. In addition, any contribution to the School and/or Community during this period will form a minor component of the assessment. The judging panel will take into consideration success relative to opportunity and researchers at all stages of their careers are strongly encouraged to apply. EligibilityAll research only staff within the School of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences are eligible to apply for this award. Nomination Process

developing their research career. Selection ProcessApplications will be judged by the members of the RCDN committee. They will each be asked to rank all of the applications based on merit (excluding their own if they are applying) to determine the successful applicant. |
