Projects
Specific research projects underway in my laboratory involve:
- Analysis of the microbial ecology of the food-borne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes, and the implications of cell-cell interactions with amoebae and ciliated protozoans for long term survival and protection from chemical inhibitors and sanitisers,
- Characterisation of copper homeostasis in L. monocytogenes and implications for virulence and survival in the environment.
- Public health significance of marine vibrios associated with commercially important shellfish.
- Collaborative programs involving predictive modelling are described in this link.
