Honours Projects

If you are interested in pursuing an honours project in our lab please contact Dr. Stephen Kidd to discuss your options and potential projects.

Current projects will focus on metabolism, transcriptional pathways and gene regulation in response to damaging stresses which are present in the host-pathogen environment.

The projects offered fall into these fields:

1. Haemophilus influenzae and stress responsive pathways; transcriptional and metabolic.

2. The ability of Haemophilus influenzae to grow with limiting nutrients.

3. Staphylococcus aureus; growth and its response to oxidative stress. 

4. Group B Strep - its oxidative stress response and pathogenesis
