Permits to Import Biological Material
Transfer of material imported, using our permits, to other institutions in Australia
Our permits give permission for importing biological material for use, by us, on our premises. They do not give us permission to pass that material to any other person/institution in Australia. Unless: that person/institution has an import permit for that material, or they have received permission from AQIS to have the material transferred to them.
The conditions, under which the permission to import and use the material is given, are written on the permit; these conditions must be followed exactly; be sure to read them. If you wish to change these conditions you/we must apply to do so, in writing, to AQIS.
It is a requirement of some import permits: that the material can only be used in approved quarantine premises (QAP), by AQIS Accredited persons. See Quarantine Manual & Quarantine Accredited Person.
