Project - Research Tuesdays

Marketing & Communications has been running the monthly Research Tuesdays seminar series since April 2007. Since then we’ve delivered over fifty five presentations*, achieving an excellent response and great attendance every month.

Research Tuesdays is designed to showcase the latest work of some of the University's thought leaders. It brings together industry, business and the broader community.

These seminars are powerful forums that provide opportunities to generate public discussion and stimulate new ways of thinking, living and doing business.

Objectives

The key objectives are:

  • Community engagement. Working closely with government, industry and local communities.
  • Profiling the University of Adelaide as the premier research University in South Australia and one of the world’s leading research universities (top 1%).
  • Profile the impact our research has on real lives and how it addresses the bigger issues we face locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Highlight the diversity, influence and impact of the University’s research in South Australia from a social and economical perspective.
  • Demonstrate the connection between research and learning and teaching at the University of Adelaide.
