The Centre
Now called Adelaide Microscopy, the
Centre for Electron Microscopy and Microstructure Analysis (CEMMSA) was formed
in 1991 when the University of Adelaide brought together its Electron Beam Instrumentation
and associated Sample Preparation equipment to be collocated in the existing Electron
Optical Centre.
The centre is centrally located in
the basement level of the Medical School Building on Frome Rd and now offers not
only the latest in electron beam techniques but also optical, confocal, multiphoton
and X-ray imaging techniques.
The expertise of our staff permits
the centre to offer a consultancy service in a diverse range of electron microscopy
and microanalysis applications. Adelaide Microscopy staff are among the best in
their field and understand the need for accurate analysis and application of the
most suitable technique to help solve industry problems.
Servicing students and staff in the
university environment produces a high volume of work. Adelaide Microscopy aims
to keep costs down for internal and external clients by using economies of scale.
The centre's state of the art equipment
and extensive professional experience assures clients complete confidence in the
analysis of nanostructures of non-biological and biological materials.
