Remote Access to Data & Images

1. Data can be copied directly from the Analysis computers (in the computing suite) at Adelaide Microscopy to a USB Stick / Portable Hard Drive / CD / DVD. We recommend that you copy your data after each session.

2. For University of Adelaide staff and students on the North Tce campus it is possible to use your university computer to directly access files saved at Adelaide Microscopy via the network. Please see Adelaide Microscopy staff or email for details.

3. External remote access to files is possible via the internet through our FTP server. Please see Adelaide Microscopy staff or email for details.

Data backup: Data for all instruments is backed up once a week and permanently backed up once a month. It is then removed from all AM computers and the network.

Lost your data? Need to retrieve old data? Please send an email or phone 8303 5855. For most instruments, old data can be retrieved quickly from our archives. Retrieving old Skyscan data may take several working days if more than a month has elapsed since it was saved.
