You can apply for an ETA directly through the following link: www.eta.immi.gov.au

Quarantine

Quarantine information for overseas visitors - please note that Australia has strong quarantine laws to help protect its relatively disease-free agriculture and you are unable to bring food and many other products in through customs. Visit http://www.aqis.gov.au for more information.

Australian Taxes

Australia has a 10% goods and services tax (GST). However international visitors can claim this 10% back from the government on departure for purchases above $300 – this means your registration fee is eligible. There are several agencies who will help you do this but it is important you have  a ‘Tax Invoice” for each major purchase.

South Australia

South Australia is the festival state of Australia and home to some of the finest wine regions (Barossa, McLaren, Clare valley). It also features the outback  (the most arid parts of the continent),  the Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island. Background information on South Australia can be found at http://www.southaustralia.com/.
