- Collaborative Learning Wikis, blogs and discussion boards... What are they, what's the difference, how do I use them to enable collaborative learning? PowerPoint Presentation
- Designing Learning Using LAMS This seminar will demonstrate how this creative learning management system can be used to develop pedagogically strong curriculum without knowledge of the complex learning theory behind good learning design. LAMS which stands for Learning Activity Management System, provides teachers with a highly intuitive visual authoring environment for creating sequences of learning activities.
- Designing for Online Learning This seminar focuses on interactive content as well as use of multimedia for blended learning delivery of curriculum. Emphasis will be on how to build engaging interaction into the curriculum, and gather feedback from the students.
- WEBINAR: Introduction to Elluminate Virtual Classroom Using the Elluminate classroom itself this online event will introduce participants to this creative learning environment. This web based environment is as useful to face-to-face teaching as it is to a remote cohort – it is all about enriching the student experience. We will explore the uses of this learning technology for different needs, including how to manage large classes using breakout rooms.
- Padogogy 101: How useful can an iPad be? This workshop will introduce participants to the device and explore the possibilities. It is not a “how to use” any one of the many apps available – that will come in later workshops. Participants will get a feel for the possibilities how this device can help how we teach and empower best practice.
- Padogogy 201: Putting the iPad to Work in Learning and Teaching We will set out to explore the uses of the iPad in a range of specific teaching & learning contexts – lectures, tutorials, small group work, assessment, online learning, etc. Participants should have a basic familiarity with the iPad & should come along with particular teaching & learning scenarios, challenges etc. in mind.
- WEBINAR: It's All About the Students The Student Experience is about their engagement, their learning and their outcomes. A teacher must move freely along a continuum – a continuum of shift, between teacher centred and student centred, between activity centred and content centred. Are there tools available that help time strapped, heavily committed teaching faculty to make these changes effectively and enrich the student experience? This webinar has some answers.
