Grade Centre - Smart Views
MyUni allows instructors to create multiple customisable views of the Grade Centre to make managing grades and particularly grades for large classes easier. For example if course groups exist Smart Views can be easily created to only display grades applicable to each group. This guide outlines how to set up Smart Views.
Access Grade Centre
1. Under control panel scroll down and click Grade Centre then Full Grade Centre.
Hide Course Menu
2. Click the left arrow to hide the course menu.
5. Click Create Smart View.
6. Provide a Name for the Smart View.
[Optional] - Provide a description for the Smart View.
7. Select Course Group, Performance, User, Category and Status, Custom from the Type of View options.
Note: depending on the Type of View you choose will determine what options you can choose from in the Select Criteria area.
Type of View - Course Group
8. Under User Criteria select Group.
9. Under Condition select Equal to or Not Equal to.
10. Under Value select the name of the group/s you want to be part of the Smart View.
Note: you can select multiple groups by holding down the ctrl key (command key on mac) and select groups.
Type of View - Performance
8. Under User Criteria select a Score or Percentage (if weighted) column.
9. Under Condition select one of these options:
Equal to
Greater than
Greater than or Equal to
Less than
Less than or Equal to
Less than or Equal to
Between
Status Equals
10. Under Value type an appropriate value for the selected column.
Type of View - User
8. Under Users choose either Selected Users or All Users .
9. If you choose Selected Users hold the Ctrl key (command key on a Mac) and select/de-select the users from the list. Beneath the user list is a Select All button that highlights all users allowing you to de-select unwanted users from a large list.
If you choose All Users under Users the only option to decide is whether to include hidden user information or not. Hidden users in the system are often students that have dropped out of the course.
Type of View - Category Status
8. Under Categories choose a category from the list .
9. Under Users choose either Selected Users , All Users or Selected Groups.
10. If you choose Selected Users hold the Ctrl key (command key on a Mac) and select/de-select the users from the list. Beneath the user list is a Select All button that highlights all users allowing you to de-select unwanted users from a large list.

If you choose Selected Groups under Users choose a group from the list.
Type of View - Category Custom
8. Under User Criteria select from the various options. There are group and performance based columns options to choose from as well as available and shown/hidden options. Fill out the criteria options associated with your choice.
9. Select Add User Criteria. The criteria will be allocated a number and listed under the Select Criteria area. Add as many criteria options as you need to customise the smart view the way you want.
Filter results
11. Under Filter Results select one of these options:
All Columns
None (Show user information only)
All Columns hidden from users
Selected Columns Only (Select columns from a second list showing column names)
Selected Categories Only (Select categories from a second list showing category names)
Selected Marking Periods Only (Select periods from a second list showing period names)
