A lying, philandering psychiatrist desperate to cover his tracks is the spark that ignites Joe Orton's classic feast of theatrical pandemonium. Fast, furious and funny, What the Butler Saw combines madcap farce, ribald comedy, biting social commentary and more than a little cross-dressing, undressing and sexual innuendo - as Orton upends all the conventions of theatre in his gloriously witty dissection of normal notions of sanity and morality.
