Date/Time: Friday, 18 July 2008, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Location: Florey Lecture Theatre, Medical School Building, Frome Road Professor Warwick Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health and Medical Research Council, will discuss the future direction of the NHMRC on Friday 18th July as part of the School of Molecular and Biomedical Science Seminar Series. His talk will focus on supporting Australian health through health and medical research. Professor Anderson's previous appointments included Head of School of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University (2001-2006); Head of Physiology at Monash University 1996-2000 and Deputy Director of The Baker Institute (1993-1996). Professor Anderson was made a Member of the Order of Australia in January 2005 for his service to health and medical research through leadership roles within the NHMRC, the development of medical science at Monash University, and his contribution to the field of hypertension and renal physiology research.
