Regarded as one of the most influential brain experts in the world, Baroness Greenfield will be in Adelaide to help celebrate the University of Adelaide Medical School's 125th anniversary. Baroness Susan Greenfield is currently the Director of The Future of the Mind at the University of Oxford, and also holds senior positions at Lincoln College, Oxford and St Hilda's College, Oxford. This is a rare opportunity for students to hear Baroness Greenfield, a world-renowned scientist, writer, broadcaster and former Thinker-in-Residence in Adelaide. She has long been regarded as a world-leading expert on the human brain, widely known for her research into the areas of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, and has received a life peerage and a CBE in the United Kingdom. All students, including students from the University of South Australia and Flinders University, are welcome. First Time Out is an experimental writing and theatre project designed to explore the threshold between a piece of writing and its interpretation. It is about the common ground between two forms of storytelling and the chance to explore the boundaries of each. For 2010, we have extended the project to include new writing from students across all Faculties and Schools of the University of Adelaide. Four performances only.
