A sequel to Superheroes: Golden Vengeance, this photographic comic strip by Chris Herzfeld is on display on level 3 Hub until 31 October 2016 during Barr Smith Library hours.

Superheroes: Golden Vengeance and its sequel Superheroes: Toxic Debris are Parallax Graphic collaborations and form a collection focused on heroes.

The work analogises good vs evil and the archetype of heroes, and brings to the fore the daily bombardment of imagery and the interplay between sacred stories and crass consumerism in modern culture.

University Collections and Urrbrae House present the Scientific Oration: Weather, Climate and Future Prosperity.

Beth Walton, President, Australian Meteorological Association, will describe how South Australia's early development coincided with major advances in meteorology world-wide and how the visionaries who established The Waite Institute took advantage of progress in meteorological instrumentation and communication to further the understanding of the local weather, climate and its inherent variability.

John Nairn, Regional Director, South Australian Bureau of Meteorology, will reflect on the history of forecasting from the Bureau of Meteorology's perspective, especially on what it means to change from one day ahead to weekly weather forecasts and the seasonal forecasting of today.

Through these observations the main drivers of weather and climate in South Australia can be identified. What does this mean for South Australia's future prosperity?
