Professor Fiona Stanley AC will present the 2008 Annual Lecture for the Florey Medical Research Foundation.

Professor Stanley is the founding director of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research; Chair of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth; and Professor of the School of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Western Australia.

Her lecture will focus on recent research studies on children's health outcomes, illustrating the power of linked population data to deliver significant public health benefits.

Professor Stanley was named Australian of the Year in 2003 for her research on behalf of Australia's children.
