What evidence do we have to suggest that sea-levels will rise? How can we assess the vulnerability of our coastlines? What are scientists predicting, and can we respond to the problem? Professor Nick Harvey is Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Adelaide and one of the lead authors of the 2007 report from the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
