The University Libraries and Technology Services bring you eResearch Monthly! Each month we will feature a different tool or technology in a 'show and tell', followed by drinks and networking. You will get a chance to hear from people using different technologies in their research, and an opportunity to network with other researchers, share ideas, and get your questions answered.

In November we are looking at the Oculus Rift - virtual reality and research!

In this eResearch Monthly, we will be giving you an opportunity to experience virtual reality through the Oculus Rift. The Oculus Rift is a headset that allows the wearer to experience a virtual reality. It is most commonly linked to gaming but in fact is beginning to make its mark on the research community. Researchers are exploring applications for virtual reality in engineering and design, and in treating war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. In this session you will get a chance to experience the Oculus Rift for yourself and chat with some University Libraries and Technology Services staff about potential applications.
