International Astronauts Panel: "Back to the Moon and on to Mars?"

WHERE: Union Hall, University of Adelaide, North Terrace Campus
WHEN: Tuesday, July 13, 7:30 pm
COST: FREE

Astronauts on the panel include:
· Dr Reinhold Ewald (European Space Agency)
· Dr Robert Thirsk (Canadian Space Agency)

Many space experts believe the Moon may be a perfect vantage point to launch manned missions to Mars, rather than launching from the Earth itself.

Why this is being considered, whether it is feasible, and what impact it would have on the costs and time schedule of humans walking on the Martian landscape will be discussed.

This promises to be one of the most fascinating free public events to be held throughout the entire International Space University program here in Adelaide.

This public event is part of the International Space University (ISU) program being run in Adelaide, hosted by the three South Australian universities - Adelaide, UniSA and Flinders.
