Free public forum: the future of our housing

A free public event being held at the University of Adelaide on Tuesday 11 June will address some of the key issues impacting on the future of Australia's housing.

The forum raises significant social and economic questions about housing, with our ageing population, relentless suburban expansion and rising incidence of low-income "housing stress" all contributing to an increasingly uncertain quality of life.

Called Older. Poorer. Denser?, the forum is part of the University of Adelaide's Research Tuesdays free series of public seminars.

The event will address such issues as urban sprawl, high-density living, surging housing costs, the societal implications of homelessness, and the expectations of Baby Boomers for old-age accommodation.

The forum panellists are:
