Former Australian Treasurer and Trade Minister the Hon. John Dawkins AO [1] will join key experts from the University of Adelaide in a free public forum that explores the controversial issue of China's investment in the Australian resources industry. The forum - being held at the National Wine Centre [2] tonight (5.00pm Wednesday 8 April) - will feature experts in the fields of trade, economics, minerals and energy, government relations and Chinese studies. Issues to be addressed at the forum include: - the Australia/China Free Trade Agreement and implications for investment;
- what issues concern the public about Chinese investment in Australia;
- comparisons with other countries investing in the resources industry;
- the Chinese perspective; and
