De Crespigny to serve as interim Chancellor until successor named

University of Adelaide Chancellor, Mr Robert Champion de Crespigny AC, who last week announced he would be handing over the reins, has agreed to serve on an interim basis until his successor is named.

At last night's University of Adelaide Council meeting, Mr de Crespigny said he would be happy to remain in office to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

The University's Deputy Chancellor, Mr Brian Croser AO, said he was delighted that Mr de Crespigny had agreed to remain in office.

"We had hoped he would stay on and we truly appreciate this commitment. We are hoping to announce his successor in the near future," Mr Croser said.
