About us
The Clearing house on oral health promotion is a direct product of the Australian National Oral Health Plan 2004-2013. Action area one of the Oral Health plan is focussed towards promoting oral health across the population. This website serves as a central point for the collection and dissemination of Australian oral health policy, practice, research, resources and evidence under action area one.
Goal
Our goal is to link people and organisations involved in oral health promotion to resources and expertise in Australia.
Objectives
Our objectives are to:
- identify, organise and disseminate a range of quality current information, resources and materials on oral health promotion;
- provide a variety of methods of informing people of activities related to oral health promotion;
- make oral health promotion resources available to a broad range of health professionals, researchers, academics and teachers, students, community groups and interested individuals;
- provide material and online resources to organisations involved in oral health promotion;
- support communities of practice in health promotion;
- be responsive to the needs of users;
- build momentum for health promotion and disease prevention;
- enhance capacities for health promotion and disease prevention.
