Launch of the Indigenouse Oral Health Unit (IOHU)
A new unit has been launched within the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health(ARCPOH) on December 16th 2011 focussing specifically on the oral health of Indigenous Australians, continuing and expanding on the work already carried out by ARCPOH in the area.
The unit is concerned with Indigenous oral health, access to dental care, provision of dental care and the labour force which produces dental care to this disadvantaged population. Through research, it seeks to achieve improved oral health and better dental care for all Indigenous Australians.
