ORAL HEALTH FOR ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLE
"Strong Teeth" CDROM
Strong Teeth is an interactive computer CD encouraging young adults
to practise good oral health. The Strong Teeth CD is available
in English and two Central Australian Indigenous languages - Arrernte and Warlpiri.
The Strong Teeth interactive CDROM was funded by the National Health
and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and developed by the Australian Research
Centre for Population Oral Health from University of Adelaide and the Northern
Territory Department of Health and Community Services.
The Strong Teeth interactive CD was a collaborated effort by A/Prof Kaye
Roberts-Thomson (ARCPOH), Dr Bruce Simmons (DHCS) and Christopher Brocklebank
from isee-ilearn.com multilingual multimedia.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Australia are disadvantaged
in terms of oral health. This publication provides a summary of Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander child oral health using information from the Child
Dental Health Survey, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and
Receipt of Hospital Dental Care Investigation and the Study of Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Child Oral Health in Remote Communities.
