Posters: ‘Eat Well, Drink well and Clean well’ were produced to display in centres, schools, dental clinics, waiting areas or during oral health presentations and forums

Colouring Sheets: ‘Eat Well, Drink well and Clean well’ can be used as an activity with children and are to be made available in waiting areas
Stickers: To provide to children as a reward and educational incentive to reinforce the key messages around food, drinks and tooth cleaning
Swap Cards: To provide to children as a reward and educational incentive to reinforce the key messages around food, drinks and tooth cleaning
How to Brush Chart: Can be used to display at centres, schools and waiting areas while undertaking activities focussing on the CLEAN WELL message.

Kid’s Section
The website has a special kid’s section aimed at children.  It has a ‘Defenders of the Tooth’ website with activities and games.

Early Childhood Oral Health (ECOH) Guideline for Child Health Professionals

The aims of the ECOH Guidelines are to improve the health and wellbeing of children in NSW by integrating oral health into general health interventions provided by Child Health Professionals. The Guidelines add value to the Personal Health Record which includes basic oral health information for parents.

Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® is a global oral health education program aimed at improving the oral health of children around the world through education and prevention.  It has quite a few articles on children’s and toddler’s oral health.

 

 

Australian Dental Association

The ADA has a series of dental health information pdf documents, including dental health tips for babies and toddlers, dental health tips for pre-schoolers, and dental health tips for primary schoolers.

 

US National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion

CDC's School Health Education Resources (SHER) provides user-friendly access to the myriad school health education offerings available from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

 

Smiles for Life: A National Oral Health Curriculum

Smiles for Life is a comprehensive oral health curriculum from America. Developed by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Group on Oral Health and now in its third edition, this curriculum is designed to enhance the role of primary care clinicians in the promotion of oral health for all age groups through the development and dissemination of high-quality educational resources.

Modules include: the relationship between oral and general health, child oral health, adult oral health, acute dental problems, oral health in pregnancy, fluoride varnish and the oral examination.

 

Tooth Tutor 

The Washington State Department of Health's Oral health program has published a curriculum developed especially for the school environment to support the work of teachers, school nurses, and student instructors. "Tooth Tutor" provides simple and evidence-based information to promote oral health and enhance learning.
