How Do I get Involved?

The OSA relies on its members to become actively involved in the association in order to realise its aims. By getting involved with the OSA you can meet people, help other international students, develop new skills and have fulfilling experiences at University. Click here to contact the OSA.

To get involved with the OSA:

Participate in the events that the OSA Council organises for you. The events are advertised in the OSA Email Bulletin and this website on the activities page, you can also contact the OSA Office to ask about future events.

Hang out in the OSA and meet other international students and Council members. Make use of the microwaves in the lounge to eat your lunch and use the resources that are supplied for you.

Read the OSA publications, the OSA Email Bulletin and go to the OSA website regularly to check the news and activities.

Become an OSA council member by nominating in the September elections.

Write an article for the one of the OSA publications, or contribute artwork, jokes, cartoons etc. To do this just contact OSA.

Tell the OSA about issues and things that are of concern to international students so that the OSA can do its best to advocate for international students interests in the University and the wider arena by writing submissions and talking at committee meetings etc.

Volunteer to help the OSA. You can volunteer  by becoming an active member of the OSA  and you can regularly contribute to the OSA newsletter or to help organise events such as Multicultural Week, OSA Orientation, Pizza-Eating etc. There is always lots to do and volunteering is rewarding. To volunteer fill out an active member form and either email or deliver it to the OSA.
