Accommodation Service
This service assists students to find suitable accommodation in and around Adelaide. You can drop in to the Hughes Plaza office to search the online database and real estate agent listings or visit the website at www.adelaide.edu.au/accommodation

Accommodation Options

There are many different types of accommodation to choose from, including:

The University of Adelaide Village
Opening in July 2005, this 400-bed student Village will be located in the vibrant West End precinct of the city - a short walk to campus and close to the Central Market and restaurants. All accommodation will be fully furnished and there will be an emphasis on community living.

University CITI Townhouses
Also in the West End precinct, the CITI Townhouses are modern, fully furnished 3-bedroom townhouses, suitable for independent living.

Residential Colleges
There are five residential colleges located in North Adelaide offering fully furnished single bedrooms and some twin share. Roseworthy campus also has a residential college. All-inclusive charges apply and meals are provided.

Subsidised Accommodation
The Accommodation officer, in conjunction with the Education and Welfare Officers, manages the University’s subsidised accommodation, which is provided primarily for first year students who are assessed as experiencing financial or special needs. 

Housing Information
The service can also provide information on all aspects of housing, including your rights and responsibilities, share housing, connecting utilities, getting furniture and more. All of this information is available in the Housing Search Guide – pick up a copy from the Accommodation Service or download it from the accommodation website.

Discrimination
When choosing a tenant, your landlord must not discriminate against you on the basis of race, culture, language, sexuality, religion or nationality. If you think you have been unfairly treated on these bases, you can call the Equal Opportunity Commission on 8207 1977 or 1800 188 163.

Residential Tenancies
The Residential Tenancies Office is there to provide you with advice and assistance about any aspect of renting. They are open for free advice from Monday to Friday 9:00-5:00pm at 91-97 Grenfell St Adelaide (opposite Harris Scarfe Department Store) or call the 24-hour assistance line 1902 283 507. Advice for tenants rights and responsibilities is available by phoning  8204 9544
