Student services

The Student Centre
The Student Centre is a one-stop shop for all student information queries, and assists with all online services and applications.

Accommodation Service
The Accommodation Service assists students with a range of accommodation options, including University accommodation and places at residential colleges.

Careers Service
The Careers Service assists students to learn the necessary skills to manage their career throughout life. It enables students to articulate their professional skills, values and graduate attributes while empowering them to compete globally in the labour market.

Counselling Service
The Counselling Service provides personal counselling for students in relation to issues that are affecting study. Professional counsellors are available to assist students explore options towards resolving their difficulties.

Disability Service
In keeping with the aims of the Disability Discrimination Act and the University's policy regarding Students with Disabilities, the University of Adelaide's Disability Service provides a range of services to students with temporary or ongoing disabilities or medical conditions.

Elite Athlete Support & Information Service
The University of Adelaide is an Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network and offers an Elite Athlete Support & Information Service to assist eligible student athletes.

Financial assistance
Financial advice and assistance may be accessed via the AUU's Student Care office. Education and Welfare Officers (EWOs) offer financial counselling
and Centrelink advice as well as information on a range of financial support options including interest-free and emergency loans, and small grants (conditions apply).

Indigenous Students
Wilto Yerlo is administers the Special Entry Access Scheme for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to all programs offered at the University of Adelaide, as well as the delivery of foundation programs and indigenous student support.

International Students
The International Student Centre provides ongoing support to international students. It works closely with student groups, faculties and University administration to ensure the experience of all international students is a positive and successful one.

Roseworthy Student Advisor
The Roseworthy Student Advisor is responsible for individual counselling, pastoral care to international families living on campus and campus community development.

Safety on campus
Safe Steps, the University's safety awareness campaign, is run at the North Terrace campus at the end of daylight savings each year to make students aware of the potential dangers when leaving campus. The campaign encourages staff and students to take actions to ensure they travel safely to their car, bus, train or taxi. Download the Safe Steps brochure.

Scholarships
The University offers a comprehensive scholarships scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Scholarships web site provides information about these scholarships and many others funded by the University, industry and non-profit organisations, which are available to potential and currently enrolled students.

Transition Unit
First-year students and those new to the University are assisted by the Transition Unit. Services include coordination of O'Week and transition programs in the first weeks of semester, including the SmoothStart program.
