There are a variety of options for those who want to be in these degree areas but might be currently missing a SACE prerequisite subject or have an ATAR that was lower than expected.
For more details please see alternative pathways on the ECMS faculty website.
If you have successfully completed an AQF Certificate IV or higher, you may be eligible for both entry and credit into defined bachelor degrees.
A TAFE/VET pathway can provide a helpful stepping stone into university study, facilitating a smooth transition into higher education.
The University of Adelaide, in partnership with TAFE SA, has more than 250 credit pathways available.
Currently the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences offers one credit pathway. A graduate holding an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering will be guaranteed 24 months credit into a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic), considerably reducing the remaining study load required to complete the degree.
Further to this credit pathway, you may also use your completed AQF Certificate IV to gain entry into most undergraduate programs offered by the faculty, noting that any pre-requisites must also be met for an offer to be made.
Please check out our non-school leavers' information for TAFE/VET applicants.
