"I'm at uni now but I'm not sure if this is the right program for me."
Are you clear about your career plans? Do you have a career goal? Are you keeping your options open? The Careers Service offers workshops for University of Adelaide students throughout the year, and a range of services that help you get ready for a successful career. Visit them on Level 6, Hughes Building.
"I need to know more about the other programs that Adelaide offers before I decide."
Contact the Student Centre or check out Degree Finder to get some further information. Or you can talk to your Faculty or to the Faculty that teaches the other programs that you are interested in.
"I don't think I want to transfer, but there are some study issues I need to sort out."
Throughout the year, you can visit your Faculty or School office and make an appointment to see a Course or Program Coordinator to talk about any concerns with your studies. If you are concerned about your progress, your timetable, or understanding the work – seek help early, before a concern turns into a problem.
"My academic program is the right one, but I'm just not coping."
The Counselling Centre provides free, confidential help to students and is located on the ground floor of the Horace Lamb Building. Visit the Counselling Service website to see a list of the services they offer.
"How do I transfer to a different program?"
If you are currently enrolled in a Commonwealth-supported place and wish to change your program, or study another degree concurrently, you may apply for an internal transfer. Internal transfers are only permitted for current students wishing to transfer into another Commonwealth-supported place. Transfer Advice Days (offered twice per year) are a great opportunity to discuss your options. Students receive an email when Transfer Advice Days are being held.
