If you are of Aboriginal or Torres Islander descent, you are welcome to visit the Wilto Yerlo Centre for Australian Indigenous Research and Studies. The Centre provides academic and general support to all Indigenous students enrolled in programs at University. Wilto Yerlo facilities include:
- a small computing room, with a laser printer and photocopier,
- study rooms,
- a student common room with provision for making tea and coffee,
- a room for postgraduate students, and
- Student Support Officers available to assist you with academic and personal matters.

There is also an Australia-wide association for indigenous postgraduates, the National Indigenous Postgraduate Association Aboriginal Corporation (NIPAAC).
