International students are represented on the AUPGSA Council.
The International Student Centre and the Centre for Learning and Professional Development (CLPD) provide
international students with a range of information and support
services, including:
- A Peer Mentor program to help new students settle into life in Adelaide
- A Language & Cultural Exchange Program (LCE) which matches international students with Australian students and University staff
- Information on student visas, health cover, fees and general inquiries
- Airport reception and assistance in finding temporary and long-term accommodation
- A comprehensive orientation program prior to the commencement of each semester
- Emergency financial assistance
- Liaison with academic staff on issues affecting academic performance
- Support
and welfare services for individuals and families, including referral
to specialist service providers on campus and within the broader
community
- A workshop program which runs throughout the year in conjunction with other university services
- A social program for partners of international students.
If you are an international student, you may wish to join
If you are a Muslim, you are also welcome to use the Islamic Prayer Room (located on the North Terrace campus, on Level 6 of Union House).
If you are an international research student (PhD or Masters), you may be required to complete the Integrated Bridging Program (IBP) during the first semester of your candidature. Postgraduate coursework students are also welcome to take the IBP.
