The Prime Minister's Australia Asia Scholarships are elite scholarships for the very best university students to spend 6-12 months in Asia as part of their degree, followed by an internship or work placement in Asia.
The scholarships are open to Australian undergraduates and postgraduates in any field of study. The scholarships are very generous: up to $53,500 for an undergraduate and up to $63,500 for a postgraduate. University of Adelaide students have won 11 of the scholarships since they were introduced in 2010.
The scholarships are for study in any of 10 Asian countries: China (including Hong Kong and Macau), India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
