Hazard Management Policy and Procedure (Unrevised)

Overview:

The University of Adelaide recognises that it has a duty of care for all persons within the workplace. This includes students, staff, co-location partners, contractors, visitors and volunteers. This policy provides the framework for a consistent hazard management approach across the University in order to meet the requirements of the OHS&W Legislation, the Universitys OHS&W Policy and the WorkCover Performance Standards for Self-Insurers. The University shall manage hazards using the Hierarchy of Control and ensure that systems are in place to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of those controls.
