Plagiarism Policy (Unrevised)
Overview:
This policy defines and outlines the University's prohibition of plagiarism and summarises the ways in which the University prevents, detects and penalises plagiarism. The guidelines incorporated within the policy document provide advice for staff and students on the implementation of the policy. Templates for notification letters, the Faculty Suspected Plagiarism and Cheating Notification Form, and the Central Plagiarism and Cheating Register form are located at the end of the policy.
Note:
The Plagiarism Policy was previously titled the Policy Statement on Plagiarism, Collusion and Related Forms of Cheating.
The previous version of this policy also applied to cheating in examinations and other forms of assessment. There is now a separate policy dealing with cheating, and it is available at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/policies/1963
