C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship recipient in 2012
"The University of Adelaide is not only a place to obtain a degree, it is also a place where an education can be found. To achieve my career goals of working internationally utlising my law degree, I gain much inspiration throughout the campus. From the grand structure of Bonython Hall that acts as a memory of those who have passed through the University before me, to the modern facilities provided which assists in stimulating learning.
The buzzing centre of Hub Central where futures are often discussed over coffee, to the depths of the law library where assignments seem to be being completed way too late into the night. It is a great and exciting place to be undertaking study. Being one of the recipients of the C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship for 2012, I feel particularly honored to be a student at one of the most highly regarded, picturesque and friendliest universities in Australia.
The University of Adelaide is a place where I can set the foundations of my career and honour the values of Charles Hawker, fulfilling my dreams in the spirit of his memory. Perhaps a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much for his country."
