"When I started my employment in my current position 18 months ago my managerial skills were limited and through the Professional Management Program I have been able to arm myself with a broader and more professional skill base. During this program my confidence has increased dramatically through my performances at work by implementing and applying the tools learnt in to meaning full work based projects and as a result of this I have gained a lot more senior management recognition and respect for my work. My projects have lead to a major turn around for the Aboriginal Health Worker profession in general as been seen as a valuable Primary health care professional and achieving a lot more recognition for the profession. For example my final project has been well received within the department of Health, that next month I will be presenting my proposal to the departments CEO.
