"I found the Professional Management Program to be a challenging and most worthwhile experience. It allowed me to extend my workplace skills and encouraged me to develop new insights and approaches to business management.
The assignments and work-based project gave me the opportunity to put into practice the skills that I had either newly acquired or further developed in the classroom. The module notes and handouts were very good and are useful reference tools, not only during the course of the program, but also in the workplace.
I feel that I have gained from participating in all of the modules which were delivered over a 12 month period, but I especially enjoyed the 'Leading and Managing People' module. It pays to remember that one can’t be a good leader if nobody is following you.
The program has brought home to me the importance of strategic planning in the business environment and the skills I have acquired through my involvement in the program have aided me in the development and implementation of important strategic projects in the workplace. Working in a managerial role, it is important to be able to think and manage strategically and the program instils in its participants the importance of looking to the future, or managing the present from the future, a worthwhile attribute.
I would not hesitate to recommend the program to anyone who would like to develop or improve their managerial skills."
