PG Peer Mentor Program 2013
*This page is best viewed in Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
The PG Mentor Program is a social support network for students and provides a smooth transition into Postgraduate tertiary study. It enhances the student experience by developing professional networks with peers, academics, and potential employers.
The mentoring program offers first year Postgraduate students in Business, Economics, ECIC and Education the chance to benefit from the experiences of senior postgraduate students, referred to as peer mentors. The program incorporates social activities and practical information sessions for students.
There will be all sorts of fun and interesting activities to follow, so stay tuned and check the website for upcoming events.
You can also join the PG Peer Mentors on Facebook to get instant updates on the upcoming events, useful tips and information for your Uni life as well as contact your mentors throughout the semester.

Jingqi 's top tips for new students:
- Get involved with the Uni activities, be it BBQ at Barr Smith Lawn or free live music at the Uni Bar, providing you a great opportunity to meet new friends & to explore new hobbies
- Study hard but not too hard. Attending lectures & tutorials will help you with assignments, but leave time to relax or join a club to make your student life more interesting
- Open your mind to this new world. As an international student, do not waste your time complaining about the new ways of studying and teaching, but instead treat it as a new world and all you need to do is to explore it, understand it and get used to it.
