Before Classes Start

There are a few things you should be familiar with before you begin your studies in 2016.

Follow the steps below to work through what you need to know.

Important Dates 2016

Make yourself familiar with the Critical Dates that relate to your study.

Student ID Card

Once you have enrolled, visit Card Services to collect your Student ID Card.

Your student ID card will provide you with swipe access to many buildings around the University, and in particular some exclusive Undergraduate areas within the Professions Hub, such as:

  • The Undergraduate Student Lounge, with plenty of computers, couches and study areas and
  • The First Year Learning Centre (FYLC).

Purchase Your Textbooks

Use Co-op to find out which textbooks are required for your courses.

Course Readers can be purchased from the Image and Copy Centre. You need to print off a voucher on MyUni to collect your course reader.

Some examples:

  • G10 = Ground floor, Room 10
  • 1102 = Level 11, Room 2

Hub Day Out

Come along for a FREE lunch and meet students, staff and academics, as well as representatives from many student bodies! You will be introduced to the Professions Hub and the free services that are available to you during your university life. PLUS photo competition and prizes!

  • FREE food! Get in early for the free BBQ in the Nexus10 courtyard (vegetarian and halal options available).
  • MEET other Students, Staff and Academics.
  • CONNECT with internship opportunities and study abroad programs.

Enrolment Advice Session

During the day there will be an Enrolment Advice Session, which is designed to help guide you through what courses to enrol into once you have accepted your offer, and introduces you to the professional staff and Program Advisers of the Professions Hub.

Twilight Welcome Event

The Faculty of the Professions will be holding Twilight Welcome events for our commencing students and their families. You will be encouraged to meet your classmates and the academics who will be teaching you during your time at The University of Adelaide. Register your attendance
