In the Faculty, you have the opportunity to undertake a semester- or year-long Exchange or a Short Study Program at a multitude of leading universities world-wide.
The Hub is here to help you. As a Commerce, Finance, Economics or Education student you can receive specialised program advice to plan an international experience that will fit into your study plan. Pamela Thompson, the Professions UG Hub Mobility Officer, is available to support you in all stages of your overseas study experience. The Faculty may also provide some financial assistance to study overseas.
The Faculty of the Professions supports a number of exciting short study programs with leading overseas universities. Short study programs are usually around two or three weeks in length and may work towards crediting electives or core courses to your degree. They are usually held during the summer or winter break so can easily work around your semester studies.
In 2013 the Professions will be offering the following hosted study tours:
You should also view the Global Learning Short Study Program page which includes information on the AIM Overseas Short Program (possibilities include studying E-Marketing and Management in Europe or Doing Business in the USA); the Confucius Institute China Study Tour; and the Stuttgart (Germany) Winter School.
You may also find short programs not listed above which interest you ie Summer School courses at UIBE Beijing, Tsinghua University, Aarhus University, Maastricht University and HEC Montreal. Please contact the Hub to discuss these options further.
Through the Exchange Program students can study one or two semesters with partner institutions in over 25 countries. The first step is to attend an Information Session and following this, to read all the information on the website including the exchange partners.
Following this, please make an appointment with Pamela Thompson in Professions UG Hub to discuss your study plan. Careful planning from as early as the first year of your degree is preferable and if possible you should plan to study electives on your exchange.
