Prospective Internship StudentsAt the University of Adelaide, your future is our business. As a result, the Faculty of the Professions has developed an Internship Program for postgraduate students undertaking coursework masters degrees in Business and Economics. These Internships provide you with a great opportunity to gain practical experience and build skills, knowledge and contacts in your chosen field, starting you on your career path. What is an internship?It is a short term work placement where you spend time working in an organisation for a minimum of 12 days, usually averaging 1 or 2 days per week over a semester or trimester. There are also some intensive internships available over the summer and mid-semester break, where you would work 4 or 5 days per week over 3 or 4 weeks. The nature and type of work you undertake will differ for every placement and may consist of a small amount of clerical work, shadowing and observation of supervisors, client work and independent work on a project of benefit to your organisation. Am I eligible?You must be enrolled as a student at the University of Adelaide for the duration of the intended internship, in one of the following postgraduate coursework masters degree programs:
Students who have graduated, or who will graduate during the term of the Internship, cannot be considered. You must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the Internship Program:
